The meadow has truly been a sight to behold in the last couple of weeks!
It’s been so lush with a glorious carpet of yellow marsh marigolds and meadow buttercups surrounding the Cabin, and we’re also excited to see the yellow rattle popping up in greater numbers.
But all the time and effort we’ve put into managing the meadows bio-diversity since moving here, has starting to pay off, as we’re thrilled to see more pops of colour especially from the pink, frayed flowers of Ragged-robin.
It’s such a rare sight to see these days, as wild wetland habitats continue to disappear, having lost around 90% already over the last 10 years!
And pink, truly is perfection, as the sedum roof has also turned the most amazing shade, making our hand-crafted cabin even more picturesque and we continue to fall in love with its ever-changing colours as it nestles itself into meadow giving guests an amazing unique hideaway Glamping experience and a slice of rural Carmarthenshire.
But it’s not just us humans who benefit from the wonders of the Welsh Countryside and these beautiful wildflowers – the bumblebees and butterflies are loving them too.
