Also known as the garden of Wales, the county gave birth to such poetic tongues as Dylan Thomas, who could not fail to be inspired by the dewfall and starfall of his home county, Carmarthenshire.
Castles dominate hillsides, whilst artists paint amongst the reeds. The richness of its history seeps through the beautiful landscape and inspires people still to create amazing arts and crafts, lovely blankets, delicious food and fabulous gin.
Cwmdu is a microcosm of this element – cwtsh or cwtch. The village itself cuddles around the stream that slips through its heart, winding its way through the community field, shop and village pub giving us all a focus and sense of place. Our pub and shop feed our hearts, souls and stomachs, with music and wonderful food.
